International Visiting Chair

A 3 to 6 months Chair is proposed every year by the Labex CelTisPhyBio to invite foreign professors, with a research project either related to the existing collaborative projects of CelTisPhyBio or allowing the emergence of a new collaborative project within the Labex. Candidate professors can apply to the CelTisPhyBio Visiting Chair.

Applications must comprise:

  • A motivation letter of the applicant
  • A short research project (1 page)
  • A résumé

The selection will be made by the Steering Commitee of the Labex.

Postdoctoral program

Several postdoctoral fellowships are available at the Labex CelTisPhyBio laboratories. Fellowships are for one year since their main purpose is for initiating new research projects. The grantees will be asked to apply for the stipends from other funding sources during their first year in the laboratory in order to liberate Labex funding as early as possible to allow funding of other candidates. The grant is determined according to the applicant’s age and experience.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Positions are open to all nationalities
  • Host laboratory needs to be a member of Labex CelTisPhyBio network
  • The applicant cannot have beneficiated from a previous Post-Doctoral Labex Grant

Evaluation criteria:

  • Priority will be given to research proposals at the interface between biology, physics and/or chemistry, conducted between at least 2 teams belonging to the Labex.
  • Quality of previous work: applicants are judged on their publications records and are supposed to be eligible for other fellowships at the end of the labex grant.

Applications must comprise:

  • Agreement of the hosting leader to receive the applicant including starting dates
  • Full CV including publications of the applicant
  • Applicant motivation letter
  • Brief description of the research project to be conducted during the fellowship (maximum 2 pages)
  • At least one letter of recommendation

Applications will be evaluated throughout the year during the Steering Committee meetings. All applications must be received at least one week before the next evaluation session.
