Labex Programs

1/ Visiting Chair

The international chair program allows outstanding scientists in the research fields covered by the Labex to come to Institut Curie for 3 to 6 months, with the objective to start new collaborations with leading Institutes in Physical Biology.

Applications must comprise (in the application form enclosed herein):

  • A motivation letter of the applicant
  • A research project
  • A résumé
  • A support letter from a Curie team leader

The selection will be made by the steering committee of the Labex.

2/ Postdoctoral program

Several postdoctoral fellowships are available at “Labex CelTisPhyBio” laboratories. Fellowships are for one year since their main purpose is for initiating new research projects. The grantees will be asked to apply for the stipends from other funding sources during their first year in the laboratory in order to liberate Labex funding as early as possible to allow funding of other candidates. The grant is determined according to the applicant’s age and experience

Eligibility criteria:

  • Positions are open to all nationalities
  • Host laboratory needs to be a member of Labex CelTisPhyBio network
  • The applicant cannot have beneficiated from a previous post-doctoral grant within the Labex.

Evaluation criteria:

Priority will be given to research proposals at the interface between biology, physics and chemistry.

Quality of previous work:

applicants are judged on their publications records and are supposed to be eligible for other fellowships at the end of the labex grant.

Applications must comprise (in the application form enclosed herein):

  • Agreement of the hosting leader to receive the applicant including starting dates
  • Full CV including publications of the applicant
  • Applicant motivation letter
  • Brief description of the research project to be conducted during the fellowship (maximum 2 pages)
  • At least one letter of recommendation

3/ Grants Program

Grants “Labex CelTisPhyBio” are approved for one year. The purpose of these grants is to initiate projects at the interface between physics or chemistry and biology. The maximum amount per grant is fixed to 20 000€. The grant could be coupled with the postdoctoral fellowship which will be evaluated simultaneously but according to established criteria for postdoctoral fellows.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Laboratories need to be members of Labex CelTisPhyBio network
